When I saw the theme for today I actually cringed because we’re in dire need of new living room furniture but we’ve decided not to purchase anything until our dear Frances is no longer with us. Thinking about it though I decided that it didn’t need to be something from the living room or something that we sit on.
This is probably my most favourite piece of furniture. Some of you might not consider it furniture but it plays a prominent role in the decor of my house.

Considering that no one played the piano in almost 20 years we looked at it as a piece of furniture that we couldn’t part with. Just before the outbreak of the virus I finally started taking formal piano lessons. Luckily my teacher pushed me with more and more music each week. Now I’m just trying to perfect these simple pieces so that when we get together again I’ll be truly ready to move on.

Thanks Alice. You’re right about the bench but I think because we’ve had the piano so long it’s become a centre piece for our Christmas decorations and family photos and flowers and candles. It is a special piece of furniture in our house.
