It’s a bunch of oilcans that have been stacked on top of each other and then floated onto the Serpentine Lake. Christo is famous for his installation art all over the world.

Yes, I’ve seen some of his works (in photos only, not in person). I had a photo of his curtain across the entire valley (somewhere in the USA) on the wall next to my bed. For some reason I found it inspirational. Think bigger than big. 🙂
