Is there a story behind the figure above the last door? Looks like he had a rough night, or maybe just pulling a face for the photo 😛

I have no idea. He reminds me of gargoyles that were sculpted to scare off evil spirits.

Even before I discovered this challenge I’ve enjoyed photographing doors. Italy provided a cornucopia of wonderful and impressive doors.
