….you can tell I had a lot of time on my hands while waiting for my son’s surgery to happen
Hospitals can be creepy places late at night when most people have gone home to their own beds and the patients have the lights turned off so that they can sleep as well.
One evening last week, while I was waiting for our son’s surgery to take place, I took a walk through the empty halls of St. Joe’s looking for interesting subjects for a photo shoot. Here are a few things that I observed.
Nice photos, how is your son doing!

He’s home now. In fact he came home the next day. It’s been harder than he thought it would be. He cancelled his flight back to the UK and rebooked another one for the following week. He also had to cancel his business trip to China but I think they can make the presentation over Skype. Thanks for asking.

Lots of trouble, the important is that he has a nice recovery.

I’m impressed that you were able to find so many interesting things in a hospital! I hope your son is recovering well from his surgery. It must have made for such a weird holiday season for your family.

I have to go back to work tomorrow and I feel like I didn’t have any down time. We celebrated my son’s birthday in the hospital and then again with his twin sister two latter at home. All our plans were changed, including those of my son who was hoping to reconnect with some old friends. As for finding interesting things to photograph, I found that St. Joe’s has quite an interesting collection of art made specifically for them. The artist basically took photos of everyday spaces in the hospital and superimposed other photographs or art work on top of them. Quirky but interesting.

I hope next weekend can be more relaxing for you. It’s terrible to feel like you need a rest after what was supposed to be a break!
