…..I’m particularly found of the beach at my cottage
Cool fresh water, warm sand between my toes and an early morning sunrise when the beach is still somewhat deserted is a happy place for me. I love going for a quick dip and then sitting on a comfy chair with a fresh cup of coffee and just taking in my surroundings. What a great way to start the day!
What a beautiful happy place you have!

Thanks Trisha. The beach doesn’t really belong to me. I just happen to have a cottage close by. It is shared with at least another 100 cottages but it is so underused that it looks like a private beach sometimes.

I’d have to agree. Some of my fondest memories as a child took place at Wasaga Beach when you used to be able to park your car right on the beach and stake out your little patch of sand for a picnic and some sun bathing.

This is where I have to admit I’ve never been to Wasaga Beach. Maybe I should add it to my list of things to do …

I think the place has changed a lot over the years. It gets very crowded and almost has a midway feel at the height of summer. Going now might be interesting.

What a beautiful place. I love the beaches; the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean . They each have their plus and minuses.

This beach on Georgian Bay is my piece of paradise when the weather is warm. Whenever my husband talks about selling our cottage I know that I’m not ready and now that we have a grandchild I’d love for her to experience this wonderful place as she grows up.

I’m lucky because I live by water all year round but this beach in the summer is my little piece of paradise.
