…thanks to Natalie for hosting PPAC https://natalietheexplorer.home.blog/2023/04/07/whats-been-happening-march-2023/
On our walk through the Arboretum yesterday, we came across some beautiful sculptures throughout the grounds. Here are just a few of them:

Thank you for your PPAC contribution. The sculptures are beautiful and interesting. The Arboretum will look wonderful as Spring progresses.

The poor woman in fresh air looks like me after cancer surgery, LOL. I wouldn’t be posing for a statue, LOL. Hope you are well and having fun. Have a wonderful Easter, Carol. I’ve missed talking. 🙂

Hi Marsha, how are you? Was this surgery recent? I feel like we’ve lost touch. Totally my fault because I’ve been so focused on getting ready for my show.

I had surgery in 2019, so not recent! Every year that goes by cancer-free is a win, though!

Phew! You’re right about that. Kevin has been cancer free for 11 years and I often forget that it will probably return because there is no cure for CLL. At least that’s what we were told 11 years ago.

I’m so sorry! I’m not sure what CLL is. I hope it doesn’t come back! 🙂

It stands for chronic lymphatic leukemia. His family doctor told him that if you have to get cancer this is the one you want. Not sure anyone would want this or any kind of cancer but so far he’s been much better after chemo, 11 years ago.

No one wants cancer, for sure! I never had to have chemo, but the drugs to block hormones were hard to take. I took them for 3/5 years, and I hope they did the trick because they were too hard to take with all the side effects, including blood clots.

Yikes, Marsha! Blood clots would be my worst nightmare.

They are not a good thing. It took 8 months of surgeries, 1-2 times per month to remove them all from my legs. The ones in my lungs disappeared with blood thinners. I was a very lucky girl to survive.
