….right now we’re going through a bit of a heat wave
On one of my walks this week I noticed that there were signs all over the place that autumn is not too far off. Usually cooler nights cause the colours to start changing but right now the nights are pretty warm but earlier this summer that wasn’t the case. Anyway the sumac is starting to change, the berries are starting to ripen and the apples are turning red.

Right now we’re going through a heat wave. I’m sweltering….no air conditioning in this house.

I hesitate to press like to that statement! I hope you can jump in the lake or pool! 🙂 That’s how we were last year when our AC went out. Shopping malls, friend’s houses and a quick install of a window unit.

We’ve been contemplating getting a window unit if we can find one. ACs tend to disappear quickly when we’re in the middle of a heat wave.

Last night on my walk, I noticed some of the leaves changing, too! It’s always bitter-sweet.

I know that the colour changes start in August but it always takes me by surprise the first time I see it.
