….how does this happen?
I don’t remember my own children taking such risks. Our son discovered that it was fun to rock on top of his diaper boxes at a very young age but when he fell off the porch railing doing the same thing and split his head open that behaviour stopped.
Will it take a similar mishap to make my granddaughter more cautious? Don’t get me wrong. I think it’s wonderful that she’s so adventurous but she does make me nervous when she wants to stand on the top of the playscape.
Luckily her parents and grandparents are always close by when she goes on her climbing adventures.

Iโm way more nervous with the grands than I was with my own kids. Want to return them in the same condition I got them ๐

I think that’s part of it. I certainly don’t want to be held responsible if she hurts herself.

I have a daughter like that. She is still intrepid

Great word. I think one little mishap might make her a little more cautious but I could be wrong.

Louisa ran through a glass door when she was about 6. She still has the scar. It didn’t stop her. But we kept a close eye.

Yikes! That must have been frightening.

Yes. I came home to find the broken door and no-one in. (Long before mobile phones)

What did we ever do before mobile phones? I hope someone left you a note.

I expect so, but in truth I don’t remember ๐

Excellent photos! I hope nothing stops her from continuing her fearless life. It’s the way to be.

It’s certainly better than being afraid all the time.
