….this week the challenge for the WPC is to find a photo that depicts something that is rare
It didn’t take me long to remember the photo I had taken of the world’s largest truffle that I found in the market in Florence, Italy. Check out the price of this rarity.

That is a “special price” indeed:))

Isn’t it though. I wonder if the price is so high because they don’t really want to sell it.

Thank you. When I took it I remember wondering where I would use it on my blog.

It is certainly not a trifle.

Neither in size or taste 🙂

I know small pieces of truffle are extremely expensive, and if this is in the Guinness Book of Records then that perhaps ups desirability and therefore cost. Think I’ll stick to more mundane fare.

I’ve never really understood the excitement about truffles, although I do enjoy a little bit of truffle oil once in awhile.

I didn’t know what I was looking at until I read the sign and I did a double take when I saw the price.

Wow, just amazed that anyone would pay that price for a truffle…..mind, it’s pretty big but even so….is it really $330,000.00????? or am I reading it wrong and it’s $330.00- I think I could retire on that if it’s the first price!

It’s the first price. I think you can pay $330.00 for normal size truffles.
