Sunday Trees – 141 & 142

….I missed last week because I was at the cottage so I’ve posted two trees this week

This is a willow tree. I want to say that it’s a weeping willow but it doesn’t weep as much as some others that I’ve seen.

Trees that once were and no longer stand tall but now lie on the beach as driftwood.

Correction – The Foxtail is really a Liatris

…..I ran into  my neighbour whose garden I photographed a couple of days ago and discovered that I had incorrectly named a flower

This stunning beauty is actually a Liatris, a hardy perennial native to North America. It is a must have plant if you want to attract butterflies to your garden. For more information about the Liatris  check out this site: Perennials.Com

My neighbour has an amazing garden and she’s given me permission to take photos of some the plants closer to her house. Stay tuned for more amazing flowers in the coming days and weeks.
