…thanks to Xingfu Mama for hosting Pull Up a Seat https://xingfumama.blog/2024/07/12/pull-up-a-seat-photo-challenge-2024-week-28/
Sometimes seats aren’t meant to be sat on and in order to ensure that people don’t plant themselves on antique chairs, the owner put teasels on the seat. This was the case at Sir John Soane’s Museum in London.

This place is well worth a visit and if you do have mobility issues there are special chair where you can sit down.
Teasels are a less obtrusive way to block off seats than ribbons and streamers.

I think so as well. A tempting place to sit if not for the teasel.

Quite an interesting way to warn people not to sit down .

To sit or not to sit!
That is the question 🙂
