…if you have no plans for tomorrow and need something to do on a rainy day head over to Neilson Park….you won’t be disappointed
I haven’t done any quilting in years but I always like to see what people are up to in the quilting world. Not only were there great quilts to look at and buy but there were vendors in one room selling everything you would ever need to start your own quilt. In another room the Quilters Guild at Neilson Park were selling ready made items and selling off some surplus supplies for all kinds of crafters and artists. I bought buttons, laces, ends of fabric and numerous other things that I’m going to include in some of my collages.

The highlight of the show of course is the wonderful selection of quilts on display throughout the entire centre.

The show was well attended today and we met people who came all the way from Sudbury, North Bay, St. Catharines and Waterdown to attend the show. It is open again on Saturday from 10:00 till 5:00. You can enjoy some coffee, tea and sweet treats in the café and even try your luck at the raffle table.
Wow, these quilts are just amazing. So colourful and beautiful.

I am so into colour. I think that’s one of the reasons I like quilt shows.

My neighbour is a quilter and she helped organize this show. I used to teach my students the basics of quilting and my sister is into right now.
