….walking through the neighbourhood streets
It didn’t look like I was going to get a walk in today but the rain was short lived. When the showers subsided I decided to take a quick stroll along some of the streets in my neighbourhood. The gardens are really starting to come together and the colours are wonderful. I’ve noticed that there is a campaign against hate and some lawns have signs denouncing hate and a number of windows have neon hearts prominently displayed where passersby can see them.

Wow, these are beautiful flowers, Carol. The water drops add so much to their beauty. I also love the colorful balls (and the no-hate sign, of course!)

Thanks Marsha. I always find it curious that certain streets seem to get together when displaying signs. This same street puts out dozens of inflatable Santas every Christmas.

I hate inflatable decorations for the most part. I love painted homemade ones or large items like sleighs that you can climb into, and lights, lots of lights. ๐

It’s pretty impressive when you see them all inflated at the same time but I get it. They are very ugly when they’re not inflated and people tend to take the air out during the day and wait until the evening to inflate them again.

Maybe that’s what I don’t like. The uninflated blobs on the ground. I don’t go out too much at night to enjoy what they look like all lit up and puffy. ๐
