    • Oh no. I was surprised to see a couple of tulips blooming this year. I think if you leave them in the ground they are less likely to be dug up because the soil is more compact than freshly planted bulbs. Don’t know what to do about critters eating the flowers though.

      • It’s less hassle that’s for sure. When we first moved into our house the previous owner planted tulips and those beauties kept coming back year after year. A few years ago we completely took away that part of the garden to widen it and the tulips went with it.
