      • We have been told it is full time with same amount of kids in the class. The anxiety hasn’t eased as I know the expectation will be that we control social distancing, etc. I have heard nothing from the school board yet or our principal.

      • I just heard today of the plans to send kids back into the classroom. I’m appalled that there are no plans for social distancing, mask requirements or temperature checks. It seems reckless to me. As teachers we all know that young children are petri dishes for germs. What happened to smaller classes, no rotary, lunch in the classroom, and partial on-line learning? One nurse for every 10 schools seems like a useless service. 1200 more caretakers for 5000 schools? How does that work? One of the reasons why children have not contracted COVID is because they’ve been the most protected group in our population. With schools closed since March most kids have been indoors, away from their friends and family members for the last five months. Good luck. I’ll be watching to see where this goes. I’m worried for my granddaughter and her family.
