This is considered an invasive species and is not encouraged in gardens. It spreads quickly and clogs marshes and ditches.

I wondered if anyone would mention that fact. I’ve known for years that it’s invasive. This shot is not from my garden. It’s growing over at the naturalized area in Col. Sam Smith Park near the lake.
