…..thanks to Sue Llewellyn for this week’s word ‘float’
This week’s photos use the word float as a verb and a noun, from floating in the air, on water and marching down the street as a parade float.

Many different variations on the word *float* … but the swan is the best! Such a wonderful and graceful bird 🙂

We are so lucky to have so many of these beautiful birds in Toronto. Unfortunately I heard that the city is trying to control the population and that any eggs that are laid are removed from the nest. I don’t know how true this is but last year one of the swans that I kept an eye on all of a sudden lost all her eggs. City workers, coyotes, foxes ?????????

Really?! Meanwhile I’ve heard that those stupid flying cows (aka the Canada Goose) are “protected” when they definitely need culling.
Oh, I really, really hope this isn’t true!!!

I did a little research and found out that it is happening. Here is the link and a petition if you want to sign it. I don’t think a lot of people know about this. I just posted it to my FaceBook page as well.
