  1. Are these wild artichokes? They are beautiful but horribly invasive. They took over the hillsides around here some years back and “chocked” out all the native vegetation. Finally the city came and got rid of them – took years.

  2. There’s something fascinating about burrs, teasels and seed heads. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and are often very sculptural. You can spray paint them too to use in decorations. Really useful.

    • Hi Laur – This photo was taken at Colonel Samuel Smith Park in south Etobicoke. I don’t know where you’re coming from but if you go down Kipling, it now continues south of Lakeshore Blvd. and curves into the park. Hope this helps.
