a lovely square – but intrigued about the change on the beach. What has happened?

For the last several years the water levels in the Great Lakes has been rising, so much so that the beach was quickly disappearing and what was left was being overtaken with weeds and small trees. This past winter the water levels went down and I guess the waves took out the vegetation and the area dried out.
