Phlox holds a special place in my heart. Our first house in South Africa was in a cul-de-sac. All new houses, new gardens, young couples. Phlox was planted in every one of those gardens. And at the time a TV spin-off of “Dallas” was popular: “Knot’s Landing”. All seven of us called our street “Phlox Landing” (except in official business, of course).
