Me too. I rediscovered them a few years ago when I saw them growing at Montgomery’s Inn where I used to volunteer and bake bread. I saw a plant at a nursery is summer and snatched it up. Hopefully it will come back next summer.
No, that was in CA. All I planted this year was a beautiful, healthy tomato plant, which probably a squirrel at from the stem up. I also planted a pot with cilantro – same result. And twice I planted basin, first lemon then sweet. The sweet is still hanging on perched on the top of fence away from any water sources except the monsoons. It spindles away.
I love hollyhocks. 🙂

I planted a ton of them in my yard. I have a propensity for planting big things in the wrong place. My tiny garden wasn’t the perfect spot.

I can’t imagine that they would do very well in Arizona. Isn’t it too hot for them?

Those @&%* squirrels. The heat wave we had here messed up some of our herbs.
