Thanks Cee. I was happy to spend Canada Day at the cottage. After the gruesome discoveries of all the children buried on the grounds of residential schools in recent weeks, many Canadians decided to reflect on the horrors of the past and work toward reconciliation with our indigenous communities. Our cottage is on a First Nation reserve and the cottagers this year decided to not have fireworks. This was the quietest Canada Day that I’ve ever experienced but I was glad that everyone was respectful of our indigenous community.
