This sparked my interest so I did some looking up. I believe it may be the spotted cucumber beetle, and from what I read, it will harm your flowers.

I didn’t even notice these critters until I looked at the photos on my computer. Thanks for the information. I’ve never seen them in my garden but if I notice them again I’ll speak to my neighbours.
